Jagadguru at Balasubrahmanya Swamy temple, Sringeri on  Subrahmanya Shashti day at Sringeri

Sri Subrahmanya Shashthi was celebrated on 11th December 2010. Pavamana Abhisheka and Rudra Abhisheka were performed at the shrine of Sri Balasubrahmanyaswamy at Sringeri. Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji arrived at the temple for Mahamangalarati at noon. In the evening, Deepotsava took place in His Divine presence. Numbering a hundred, Vidyarthis and Pandits of the Sadvidya Sanjeevini Samskrita Mahapathashala chanted Jagadguru Sri Adi Shankara Bhagavatpada’s composition Sri Subrahmanya Bhujanga Stotram. Earlier, Deepotsava was also held in the Subrahmanyaswamy temple in the Sacchidanandapura Agrahara of Sringeri in the Jagadguru’s presence.
