Maharathotsava of Goddess Sharada


 

Sri Sharadamba Maharathotsava was celebrated on the 21st February 2011 at Sringeri in the august presence of the Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji.

His Holiness led the procession of Goddess Sri Sharadamba in the Ratha along the main street of Sringeri after being accorded a traditional invitation by the Mahajanas of Sringeri. The previous day, the Jagadguru offered a special Puja to Goddess Sharadmba at the temple.

As part of the Rathotsava Celebrations, a Shatachandi Mahayaga was also performed. The Poornahuti of the Mahayaga took place on the following day, the 22nd of February in the Jagadguru’s divine presence. The Celebrations ended with Teppotsava of Goddess Sharada conducted on the Tunga River.
