On Jan 3, 2012 the  Jagadguru visited Warangal, the birthplace of Sri Vidyaranyaswami, the Jagadguru of Sringeri about 600 years ago.  The Jagadguru spoke about the life of Sri Vidyaranyaswami and the sacred bond between Warangal and Sringeri.  The Jagadguru also performed the Kumbabhishekam of the Goddess Bhadra Kali Temple and laid the foundation stone for a statute of Sri Vidyaranyaswami.
