Jagadguru at Prasanna Ganapati temple, Meguru

On 20th January 2012, Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji graced the Prasanna Ganapati temple at Meguru near Sringeri and worshipped Lord Ganapati. The Jagadguru inaugurated a Yagashala, Bhojanashala and Sabha Bhavanam in the premises. Poornahutis of Ganapati Homa, Chandi Homa, Rudra Homa held on the occasion took place in the divine presence of the Jagadguru. In His Anugraha Bhashanam, the Jagadguru stressed the importance of Dharma.

मृतं शरीरमुत्सृज्य काष्ठलोष्टसमं क्षितौ ।

विमुखाः बान्धवाः यान्ति धर्मस्तमनुगच्छति ।।

– It is Dharma alone that accompanies the soul after death, when even relatives shun the body considering it be equivalent to a log or a stone lying on the ground. Even the Lord in His incarnations adhered to Dharma so that He can show the right path to the masses. The Jagadguru praised the Dharmic efforts being pursued at Meguru and blessed the devotees.
