With the blessings of the Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji, Mahashivaratri will be celebrated in a grand manner at Bangalore as in all temple branches of the Sringeri Math. Alongwith the Chatur-Yama (Four Yama) puja of Lord Bhavani Shankara by means of the Sri Rudram and other Vedic Mantras. Chaturveda Parayana will also be performed at the Math by 77 pundits in the following shakhas will be performed alongside.

  • Shakala Shakha (Rigveda)
  • Taittriya Shakha (Krishna Yajurveda)
  • Maitrayani Shakha (Krishna Yajurveda)
  • Kanva Shakha (Shukla Yajurveda)
  • Madhyandina Shakha (Shukla Yajurveda)
  • Kauthuma Shakha (Samaveda)
  • Jaiminiya Shakha (Samaveda)
  • Ranayaniya Shakha (Samaveda)
  • Paippalada Shakha (Atharva Veda)
  • Shaunaka Shakha (Atharva Veda)

Apart from this there will also be Bhajana Seva by Bhajana Ratnakara Chakravarti Sri Manjapra Mohan & Party.

All devotees are welcome to witness and take-part in this grand event.
