Vata Poornima Celebrations at Pune Sringeri Shankar Math

On 23rd June on the occasion of Vata Poornima (this is in-lieu of Kar-Adaiyan-Nonbu observed by Suvasinis in South India for the longevity of spouse) about 600 Suvasinis mostly from Maharashtra and North India offered pooja to the Vata (Banyan) tree at the Math from early in the morning. Anndananam was offered to a total of more than 1000 people on that day.
