Vidyashankara Aradhana and Rathotsava


 

The 682nd Aradhana of the 10th Acharya of the Peetham, Jagadguru Sri Vidyatirtha was observed reverentially on 18th November 2015. Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahasannidhanam performed the Aradhana Pooja at noon in the sanctum sanctorum of the magnificent Sri Vidyashankara temple built over the Samadhi location of the 10th Acharya. Sri Sannidhanam was present during the Mahamangalarati to offer obeisance. The following day (19th November), Sri Vidyashankara Rathotsava carrying the Utsava Moorti of the deity took place. Sri Sannidhanam led the Rathotsava through the main street of Sringeri. Teppotsava took place on 20th November in the divine presence of Sri Sannidhanam.

As part of the Aradhana and Rathotsava, Pujas, Maharudra Yaga and Homas were conducted by the Pandits of the Peetham for a week in the Vidyashankara temple and in the Jagadguru Sri Narasimha Bharati Yagashala.
