Bhagavata Navaham & Prathama Ekadashi


 

A Navaaham of Srimad Bhagavatam was organised at Sringeri from June 26, 2017 to July 4, 2017 with the blessings of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji and Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam.

Sri Parameswaran Namboodiri of Malliyoor, Kerala and Sri Sridhara Sharma of Bengaluru performed the Parayana of the entire Srimad Bhagavatam over the 9 days. Sri Sridhara Sharma delivered discourses everyday. On July 4 (Prathama Ekadashi), the Navaaham ended in the divine presence of Sri Sannidhanam. Sri Sannidhanam blessed Sri Malliyoor Parameswaran Namboodiri, Sri Sridhara Sharma and devotees led by Sri Anantanarayanan who organised the event.

In His Anugraha Bhashanam, Sri Sannidhanam spoke about the greatness of the Krishna Avatara and Srimad Bhagavatam, and blessed the devotees.

On the occasion of Prathama Ekadashi, Pavamana Abhisheka and a special Puja were performed at the shrine of Sri Janardana Swami Sannidhi in the Math premises.
