Jagadguru Sri Sannidhanam performs Mahamangalarati to Sri Kalabhairava Swamy on Kalabhairava Jayanti

Kalabhairavashtami was observed today at Sringeri with Lord Kalabhairava being worshipped by Jagadguru Sri Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam. Sri Sannidhanam performed Abhisheka to Lord Kalabhairava accompanied to the sonorous chanting of Sri Rudra and other mantras by the Panditas of the Math as well as students of the Sadvidya Sanjeevini Samskrita Mahapathashala.

Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahasannidhanam had Darshan at the temple in the morning. Later in the evening, Deepotsava was celebrated at the shrine in the divine presence of Sri Sannidhanam. The entire temple complex was beautifully lit and the event concluded with Mahamangalarati, Ashtavadhana Seva and the chanting of Kalabhairavashtakam composed by the 33rd Acharya of the Peetham, Jagadguru Sri Sacchidananda Shivabhinava Nrisimha Bharati Mahaswamiji.
