His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Abhinava Vidyatirtha Mahaswamigal a renowned Jivanmukta and a crest jewel of Yogis, adorned the glorious Sringeri Sharada Peetham as its 35th Jagadguru Shankaracharya.  He was a rare sage who renounced the world before the age of 14 and attained the acme of Yoga, Nirvikalpa Samadhi, before He was 20 and abided in this state at will. He was a scholar par excellence in the Shastras. Being infinitely compassionate, the Acharya graced innumerable devotees in myriad ways. The Jagadguru who incarnated on the day of Deepavali in 1917 attained Mahasamadhi in 1989 but still continues to light our lives by residing in our hearts.

Jagadguru Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamigal, the present Acharya has constructed and consecrated a beautiful shrine for His Guru, where He performs the annual Aradhana Puja with utmost dedication in accordance with the holy tradition of Sri Sringeri Shankara Math.
