Description :

Volume 4 of the Anugraha Bhashanam Video series covers the discourses given by the Jagadguru Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji during his Vijaya Yatra in 2007.  The following two discourses are covered in this volume.

The goal of Human Birth – Hindi with English subtitles

During the Jagadguru’s Chatgurmasya camp at Mumbai in 2007, the Jagadguru gave a series of soul stirring discourses.  This discourse emphasizes that the only goal of human birth is moksha (liberation).  While tracing a human’s life, the Jagadguru points out how one always experiences more sufferings than happiness.  The Jagadguru narrates incidences from the lives of Sri Adi Shankara and the 32nd Jagadguru of the Sringeri Peetham and teaches us about the Sadhanas we should perform to follow the path to obtaining Self-realisation.  The Jagadguru urges us to follow the right path now so that we can be assured of liberation.

The importance of human birth – Kannada with English subtitles

In the discourse given in Bellary – Kanartaka in June 20074, the Jagadguru asks us not to get enamoured by worldly objects and lose focus on the importance of our human birth, which we have obtained after performing countless good deeds in prior lives.  The Jagadguru explains through the teachings of the Gita how adherence to Dharma and the practice of the required Sadhanas will help fulfil the purpose of our lives.

  • Our nation and its culture have a hoary past and we should all be proud of it. Mere aping of the West is not beneficial for us. For example, care of aged parents is something that has come down to us traditionally and we must never neglect this duty by imbibing concepts of some free societies, wherein concern for one’s own parents is at low ebb. Jagadguru Sri Abhinava Vidyatirtha Mahaswamigal on Significance of God
  • It is a great blunder not to make proper use of the body and mind that has been given to us by God. Jagadguru Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamigal on Significance of God's Names
