Sri Shankara Jayanti and 19th Pratishtha day celebrations at Mumbai Sringeri Shankara Math


 

With the benign blessings of Acharyal Sri Sankaraya Jayanthi Mahotsavam was celebrated in a grand manner in Mumbai math. Mahanyasa Poorvaka Shata Rudrabhishekam was performed on all five days. Dharmapracharakar Sri A. S. Gopalakrishnan rendered upanyasam in Tamil on Moha Mudgara Stotram (Bhaja Govindam) for 4 days from 14th May to 17th May 2010. On the Sankara Jayanthi day a grand procession of Utsava Moorthy of Sri Adi Shankara was taken out through the main streets of Chembur in Silver Chariot.

During Sankara Jayanthi celebrations on Akshya Trithiya day, Samashti Upanayanam was performed for 8 children.

Samskrita examination certificates, conducted by Sri Sura Saraswathi Sabha were awarded to Prathama, Dwithiya and Tritheeya vidyarthis by Dharmapracharakar, Sri A. S. Gopalakrishnan.

19th Pratishtha day celebrations

With the benign blessings of Acharya, on 19th May 2010, 19th Prathishta Day was celebrated at the Mumbai math. In the morning Mahanyasaka Poorvaka Eka Vara Rudrabhiskekam was performed for all the 3 deities, Sri Maha Ganapathy, Sri Adi Sankara and Goddess Sharadambal.

In the evening, a grand procession of Goddess Saradambal was taken out through the main streets of Chembur.

Both the celebrations were well attended.
