Mahaganapati Vakyartha Vidwat Sabha commences


 

Sri Varasiddhi Vinayaka Vrata was observed by the Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji with a special puja to Lord Maha Ganapati at 12 noon on 11th September 2010. In the evening, the annual Mahaganapati Vakyartha Vidwat Sabha commenced at 4:30 PM at Sacchidananda Vilas. The sabha proceedings scheduled to go on for 15 days(till 24th September 2010).  Presided by the Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji, a scholar par excellence, the sabha consists of deliberations in Shastras Nyaya, Vedanta, Mimamsa and Vyakarana and expected be attended by erudite shastric scholars across the country.

Swarna Gowri Vrata

Similar to last year, the Swarna Gowri Vrata happened to be on the same day as Vinayaka chaturti. Swarna Gowri pooja was conducted at Sringeri in the Pravachana Mandiram  on 11th September 2010 morning.  Many Suvasinis came to the Math from in and around Sringeri and offered worship.
