Mahashivaratri celebrations at Mumbai Sringeri Shankara Math

With the benign blessings of Jagadguru Shankaracharya, Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji, Mahashivarathri is being celebrated in Sri Sringeri Math, Chembur, Mumbai from 1993 in a grand manner. Accordingly, this year also Mahashivarathri was celebrated on Wednesday, 2nd March 2011. In the morning Mahanyasa Poorvaka Ekadasha-vara Rudra Abhishekam and Rudra Homam was performed by learned pandits.

In the evening, after Pradhosha Pooja, all the 4 yaama poojas were performed by the Math Pandits. The first yaama pooja commenced at 6 pm and the 4th yaama pooja Mahadeeparadhana was performed at 6 am on 3rd March 2011.
