One year of Adi Shankaracharya temple at Sringeri


 

The Adi Shankaracharya temple was consecrated on Magha Shukla Trayodashi of the Vikriti year (Feb 16 2011). To mark the first anniversary, an Ati Rudra Mahayaga was held at the Peetham from 25th January to 5th February 2012.

On 5th February (Magha Shukla Trayodashi of the current Khara year), Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji performed a special Puja to Sri Adi Shankaracharya. Poornahuti of the Atirudra Mahayaga took place in the presence of the Jagadguru.
