Lalita Panchami, Ratha Saptami and Sharadamba Maharathotsava


 

Lalita Panchami was celebrated on 28th January. Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji offered special worship to Goddess Sharada on the occasion. Ratha Saptami was observed on 30th January. The Jagadguru performed a Puja to Lord Suryanarayana at Elmagge. Sharadamba Maharathotsava took place on 10th February 2012. The Utsava Murti of Goddess Sharada was taken along the main streets of Sringeri. The Jagadguru led the procession amidst chants of the Vedas and bhajans. As part of the Celebrations, a Shatachandi Yaga was conducted in the premises of the Peetham. The Jagadguru performed a special Puja to Goddess Sharada the previous day. Teppotsava took place the following day evening.
