Jagadguru graces Rik Samhita Yaga at Anegunda

Jagadguru graces the Purnahuti of the Rik-Samhita Yaga at Anegunda

On 8th May, the Jagadguru graced the Agrahara of Anegunda near Sringeri. The Jagadguru was received with Poornakumbha by devotees and first had Darshan at the temples of Sri Gopalakrishna Swamy and Sri Gangadhareshwara Swamy. The Jagadguru then graced the Poornahuti of the Shaakala Rik Samhita Yaga that had begun on 1st May 2013. The Jagadguru in His Anugraha Bhashanam said that the performance of the Samhita Yaga is most praiseworthy for Ahuti is offered by chanting every Mantra of the Veda. The Jagadguru blessed the family of Nagari Bhatta who had performed the Yaga. It may be noted here that the family had originally planned to perform the Yaga a year back but had waited for the Jagadguru to return to Sringeri after the Vijaya Yatra, so that the Poornahuti may take place in the Jagadguru’s presence.
