Ardrotsava

Ardrotsava took place on 18th December 2013 with the Mahamangalarati to Lord Malahanikareshwara and Goddess Bhavani being performed early morning in the Jagadguru’s divine presence. Devotees were present for the Mahamangalaarti and the grand procession at around 5 AM. A procession of the UtsavaMurtis of Lord Nataraja and Goddess Bhavani then took place. The procession included three circumambulations of the hillock. The Jagadguru led the procession along the main streets of Sringeri till the municipality building. The function concluded with the Ashtavadhanaseva and the utsavamurtis were taken back to the Malahanikareshwara temple amidst the chantings of ShivanandalahariStotra composed by Sri AdiShankaracharya. The previous night, AndhakasuraVadha was celebrated in front of the PravachanaMandiram.
