The traditional Venkotta Kuda or Shweta Chatra, an official honour from the Kerala state Government being offered to the Jagadguru by the District Panchayat president in Mulleria, Kasaragod district’

The Kerala government shows their respect to the Jagadguru Shankaracharya of Sringeri by providing state guest honours. Once the Jagadguru entered Mulleria in Kasaragod district in the evening of 21st February 2014, the Jagadguru was given a Guard of honour and the police band played out a welcome tune befitting the State Welcome. Then the Jagadguru adorned the decorated stage at Ganesha Kalamandira, Srividya Shikshana Kendra at Mulleria. The district officers Dr. B Ashok IAS, Vice Chancellor, Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, and the District Panchayat President were present to receive the Jagadguru. Welcoming the Jagadguru as State Guest, the District Panchayat President offered the traditional Venkotta Kuda / Shweta Chatra (an official honour from the State Government). The children studying in the school sang Prarthana Shlokas devotedly.

The Jagadguru Mahaswamiji in His Ashirvachanam expressed joy in entering the state of Kerala, wherein at Kalady, Jagadguru Sri Adi Shankarabhagavatpada incarnated twelve centuries back. The Jagadguru also commended the Srividya Shikshana Kendra for teaching our Samskriti to children. The Jagadguru blessed all the children and the devotees assembled to follow the Bharateeya Samskriti and and attain Shreyas.
