Guard of Honour for the Jagadguru at Malla, as the Jagadguru departs for Sringeri
On 22nd February 2014 evening, the Jagadguru arrived at the Malla Durgaparameshwari Kshetra to a devotional welcome by the temple authorities. Having had the Darshan of the Goddess and Sri Satyanarayana swami in the Prakaram, the Jagadguru adorned the Asana in the decorated Mantapam where usually the Swing ceremony of the Goddess is performed. After Dhuli Pada Puja, the Jagadguru gave an Anugraha Bhashanam and recollected His first visit to the Kshetram nearly four decades ago, along with His Guru Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Abhinava Vidyatirtha Mahaswamiji for the Prathishtha Kumbhabhisheka of Satyanarayana swami conducted on 17th March 1976. The Jagadguru said the Shraddha and Bhakti towards Guru and God is very essential for everyone. The Jagadguru blessed all devotees led by Sri Vishnu Bhat and ended the Bhashanam.
During the Jagadguru’s stay at Malla, Sri P B Abdul Razak, MLA of Manjeswar and Shri M N Gunavardhanan, IAS(Rtd), State Information Commissioner had Darshan of the Jagadguru and obtained His blessings.
Foundation stone for the Rajagopuram of Durga Parameshwari Devasthana at Kunjarakana Muliyar in Kasaragod
On 23rd Feb 2014 morning, the Jagadguru Mahaswamiji had Darshan of the Goddess Sri Durgamba at Sri Durgaparameshwari temple at Kunjarakana Muliyar of Kasaragod district. After the Darshan, the Jagadguru laid the foundation stone for the Rajagopuram. In the Ashirvachanam, the Jagadguru said it is the Goddess whom we approach at difficult times in our lives as She eradicates our suffering. The Jagadguru also called for all the devotees to serve in their best possible way for the activities of the temple.

The Jagadguru then proceeded to Narayaneeyam music campus located at Ubrangala in Kasaragod district and inaugurated the “Vaidic – Thantric Vidyapeetham”, a Vaidic & Thantric studies and research centre. The music troupe of the Narayaneeyam music campus then sang a melodious Sanskrit song in the divine presence of the Jagadguru Mahaswamiji. At the behest of the Jagadguru, the members of the troupe also rendered a Malayalam bhajan. In the Anugraha Bhashanam, the Jagadguru said that Sangeeta Shastram is verily Gandharva Veda, the Upaveda of Samaveda. Sangeeta is one of the Sadhanas to obtain the grace of God. The trinity of Carnatic music namely Sri Thyagaraja Swami, Sri Shyama Shastri and Sri Muthu Swami Dikishita obtained the Saakshatkara of God through Sangeetam. The Jagadguru expressed joy at the activities of the Narayaneeyam music school and at the inauguration of the Vaidika Thantrika Vidyapeetham. The Jagadguru praised Sri Yogish sharma for spearheading these initiatives and convyed His blessings for the conduct of the planned activities.
The Jagadguru Mahaswamiji then headed towards the ancient Sri Uma Maheshwara temple at Narampady. After having the Darshan of Lord, the Jagadguru inaugurated the Annapoorna Bhojana Griha in the temple. Then the Jagadguru blessed the assembled devotees with an Anugraha Bhashanam and Phala Mantrakshada.
Then the Jagadguru proceeded to Srikshetra at Agalapadi and had the Darshan of Sri Durga Parameshwara Amba and inaugurated the Raajaangana Mantapa. The Jagadguru remembered His earlier visits in 1996 and 2006 and pointed out that the relationship between Sringeri Jagadgurus and Karadastha Samaja is an ancient one. The Jagadguru ended the Bhashanam invoking the Goddess to bless all with Dharma Shraddha.
On 23-Feb evening the Jagadguru was welcomed in the Gurusadana newly constructed by the Kerala Marathi Sharadotsava Samiti in association with Ura hattu Samastaru. In the introductory speech, the Samiti representative said that the ancestors of this Samaja moved from Maharashtra to this area around 400 years back and their Kulaguru is the Sringeri Jagadguru. The people of this Samaja also had the Darshan of their Kulaguru by doing Padayatra from Kasaragod to Sringeri when their prayers were fulfilled.
The Jagadguru in His Anugraha Bhashanam said as a Guru is one who always thinks about the upliftment of His disciples, the Sringeri Jagadgurus perform everyday Chandramoulishwara Pooja for the welfare of their Sishyas. Praising the Shraddha Bhakti of Marathi Samaja towards the Sringeri Jagadgurus, the Jagadguru instructed on the necessity to have the quality of seeing Guru and God as the same. The Jagadguru then invoked the grace of Guru and Goddess Sharadamba for the welfare of the devotees.
That night, after Chandramoulishwara Puja, a special Utsavam was organized in the Malla Durgaparameshwari temple by the temple authorities. The Jagadguru witnessed the Utsava and blessed the devotees.
The Jagadguru Mahaswamiji, on the morning of 24th February 2014, laid the foundation stone for “Sri Durgaparameshwari ALP School” at Malla. The devotees had the Darshan of Jagadguru and received Phala Mantrakshada. In the Guruvandana Sabha held immediately after the Darshan, the Jagadguru accepted the Abhinandana Patrika presented by the Malla Durgaparameshwari Devasthana trustees and blessed the devotees with an Anugraha Bhashanam. Explaining the meaning of the word Shankara as ShaM karaH (शं करः) one who does good to others, the Jagadguru stated that the contribution of Sri Shankara Bhagavatpada to the world is immeasurable. He has instructed the world through simple Upadeshas in the form of prayers for removing ego, training the mind to not run after worldly things, cultivating compassion towards living beings and for crossing the ocean of Samsara. The Jagadguru expressed joy at the cleanliness maintained in the Durga Parameshwari Devasthana. The Jagadguru also blessed devotees led by Sri Vishnu Bhat for organising the functions very well. The Jagadguru also gave His Ashirvada to Sri Kannur Gopalakrishnan who had made the elaborate arrangements for the Kerala yatra of the Jagadguru, and ended the Bhashanam. The Jagadguru started for Sringeri the same afternoon. A Guard of honour was once again by the State given as the Jagadguru was reverentially sent off after His stay in Kerala. The Jagadguru reached Sringeri late evening and performed the Sharada Chandramoulishwara Puja in Guru Nivas.
