Jagadguru graces Gulbarga, North Karnataka


 

Wherever the Jagadguru graces, the residents of the place deem it a day of festival underlined by feelings of Guru Bhakti. Gulbarga was no exception in this regard. Arrangements were done to receive the Jagadguru in a grand manner. The Jagadguru arrived in the evening of 20th March and was given a grand welcome. Then the Jagadguru was taken reverentially in a procession to the Sringeri Shankara Math at Gulbarga. The Jagadguru then gave a splendid Anugraha Bhashanam and launched the Pravachana Malika programme as part of the Peetham’s Shaankara Tattva Prasara Abhiyanam. Thousands of devotees felt blessed listening to the Anugraha Bhashanam, wherein the Mahaswamiji elucidated the Advaita Siddhanta as expounded by Jagadguru Sri Adi Shankaracharya. On the 21st morning, the Jagadguru Mahaswamiji visited the Gangotri Veda Pathashala and blessed the Vaidikas there. The Jagadguru then gave Darshan at the Sringeri Shankara Math to all the devotees, blessed them with Phala Mantrakshata and Tirtha Prasada and departed in the evening.

Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji inaugurated the Pravachana Malika programme (an initiation of Shaankara Tattvaprasara Abhiyanam of the Dakshinamnaya Sri Sharada Peetham) with His splendid Anugraha Bhashanam as the first Pravachanam in Sringeri Shankara Math Branch at Gulbarga during on 20-Mar-2014. This programme will have a Pravachanam on the second Sunday of every month.
