Jagadguru graces Raichur, North Karnataka


 

On the evening of 21st March, the Jagadguru Mahaswamiji was received at Raichur by the devotees with a reverential welcome. In the Swagata Sabha organised after the grand procession, the Jagadguru Mahaswamiji gave Ashirvachanam and expressed happiness to see a beautiful new temple with the Murtis of Sri Ganapati, Sri Adi Shankaracharya, Sri Sharadamba, and Sri Anandeeshwara at Raichur. On 22nd morning, the Jagadguru gave Darshan to all the devotees of Raichur as well as the devotees from other places. Many devotees also came from neighbouring state of Andhra Pradesh to have the Darshan of the Jagadguru. On the evening of 22nd, the Jagadguru gave an elaborate Anugraha Bhashanam on Shaankara Tattva. On the morning of 23rd, the grand Kumbhabhishekam of Sringeri Shankara Math at Raichur took place. After the Kumbhabhisheka, the Jagadguru blessed the devotees with Phala Mantrakshata and Tirthaprasada and in the evening departed from Raichur. On the way to Gangavati, the Jagadguru stopped for few minutes to bless the devotees in a village called Kallur.

Kumbhabhisheka:

The establishment of Sringeri Shankara Math at Raichur was a long time wish come true for the devotees of Raichur. Acquiring the Anandeeshwara temple at Raichur and the surrounding areas, Dakshinamnaya Sringeri Sharada Peetham renovated the sanctum sanctorum of Sri Anandishwara, and constructed beautiful sanctums for Ganapati, Sharadamba and Sri Adi Shankara. On 23rd morning the Jagadguru Mahaswamiji performed detailed Puja and Kumbhabhisheka to Ganapati, Sri Sharadamba, Sri Adi Shankara and Sri Anandeeshwara. The Pujas culminated in the PunaH Pratishtha of Anandeeshwara and PranaH Prathishta of other deities. In the Guruvandana sabha, conducted on the previous day evening the Jagadguru blessed one and all who had helped in various ways for the construction of the temple.

Pravachana Malika

Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji inaugurated the Pravachana Malika programme (an initiation of Shaankara Tattvaprasara Abhiyanam of the Dakshinamnaya Sri Sharada Peetham) with His splendid Anugraha Bhashanam as the first Pravachanam in Sringeri Shankara Math Branch at Raichur on 22-Mar-2014. This programme will have a Pravachanam on the second Saturday of every month.
