Starting from Sringeri in the evening of 12th March 2014, the Jagadguru started the North Karnataka Yatra from Honnaali of Davanagere District. The highlights of the Yatra included the Jagadguru performing the Kumbhabhishekas of the new Sringeri Shankara Math branches at 3 places namely Bijapur, Afzalpur and Raichur. The fourth Kumbhabhisheka during the Yatra was at Kevalananda Ashrama in Shikharipura. In His various Anugraha Bhashanams during the Yatra, the Jagadguru spoke on the tenets of the philosophy of Advaita – the Shaankara Tattva. Special Pravachana Malikas were also set in motion in a few towns in North Karnataka. The Jagadguru also offered worship at the Nirguna Paduka Kshetram in Ganagapura.
