Launched with the blessings of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji, the Shaankara Tattva Prasaara Abhiyaanam conducted Shibiras(Workshops) in Bangalore and Siddapura in March and June 2014. The Abhiyaanam focuses on developing Pravachanakaras (Upanyasakas) to spread the tenets of Sanatana Dharma and Vedanta with emphasis on the life and works of Sri Adi Shankara Bhagavatpada. As part of the Abhiyaanam, the second level training programme for the Upanyasakas was conducted via 3 day Shibiras at Bangalore from March 7-9 at the Sringeri Shankara Math, Chamarajpet, Bangalore and in the premises of the Sringeri Shankara Math, Siddapura (near Shirsi) from June 27th to 29th. In both the programmes, scholars from all around Karnataka, addressed the participants and explained various aspects related to Vedanta. The participants also were provided with insights into important verses in the biography of Sri Adi Shankaracharya, the Madhaviya Shankara Digvijaya.
