Saama Samhita Yaga Poornahuti

On 10th December 2014, the Jagadguru visited Vidyaranyapura Agrahara in Sringeri and graced the Poornahuti of Sama Samhita Mahayaga in the house of Sringeri Math Samaveda Pandit Veda Brahma Sri Ramamurthi Shrauti. The Yaga was conducted for 7 days marking the 50th anniversary of Datta Jayanti celebrated since the time of Sri Shrauti’s birth by his father. The disciples of Sri Shrauti ji who learnt Sampurna Sama Veda from Sri Shrauti made all the arrangements for the Yaga. Talking on the occasion Veda Brahma Sri Ramamurthy Shrauti expressed that there is no place purer than Sringeri in the earth and there is no Guru greater than Sringeri Jagadguru. As per divine guidance, he had come to Sringeri and never had a second thought to leave Sringeri anytime. Eminent Sama Veda Pandits from all parts of India were invited by Sri Shrauti and participated in the Yaga. Blessing the Sama Veda scholars assembled, the Jagadguru said in his Anugraha Bhashanam that the Vedas protect those who protect the Vedas i.e. study and pass it on the next generations. The life of Sri Ramamurthy Shrauti is a testimony to this fact. The Jagdguru expressed great happiness in seeing the four generations of Guru-Shishyas of Samaveda, starting from Vedabrahma Sri Ramamurthy Shrauti.
