Sri Sharadamba Maharathotsava (car festival)

The annual Sharadamba Maharathotsava took place on 7th February 2015. The Utsava Murti of Goddess Sharadamba was taken along the main streets of Sringeri in a decorated Ratha. Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahasannidhanam and Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam led the Rathotsava procession amidst Vedic chants and the singing of Bhajans. Sri Mahasannidhanam performed a special Puja to Goddess Sharadamba on the previous day. As part of the Celebrations, a Shatachandi Yaga was conducted. The Poornahuti of the Shatachandi Yaga took place on 8th February in the divine presence of Sri Mahasannidhanam and Sri Sannidhanam. Teppotsava of Goddess Sharadamba took place that evening.
