Sri Rama Navami Celebrated

Sri Rama Navami was celebrated at Sringeri on the 28th of March. The day’s proceedings commenced with Their Holinesses crossing over to the northern banks of the Tunga for Aalaya Darshan, including the Mangala Arati at the Sri Kothandarama Swami temple. Their Holinesses then granted Darshan to all devotees at the Guru Nivas at Narasimha Vanam. Darshan was followed by an elaborate Puja at noon to Sri Sita Lakshmana Hanumat Sameta Sri Ramachandra Swami by Jagadguru Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji. At the end of the Puja, the Sri Rama Janana Sarga from the Bala Kanda of Valmiki Ramayanam was read out by Sri Sri Mahasannidhanam. Sri Sri Sannidhanam was also present during the Mahamangalarati of the Puja and the Jagadguru’s Parayana. Through the duration of Vasanta Navaratri, Valmiki Ramayana Parayana was performed at the Sri Kodandarama Swami temple and Carnatic music concerts were held in the Jagadguru Sri Chandrashekhara Bharati Sabha Bhavanam.
