Narasimha Jayanti and Abhisheka to Goddess Sharadamba

On May 2nd 2015, Narasimha Jayanti was celebrated at Sringeri. Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahasannidhanam and Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam had Darshan and witnessed the Mahamangalarati to Lord Narasimha on the external southern wall of the Sri Vidyashankara temple.

At noon, Sri Mahasannidhanam offered a special Puja at Guru Nivas to the golden Vigraha of Lord Lakshmi Narasimha. Vedic Chants comprising the Purusha Sukta, the Narayana Sukta and Vishnu Sukta filled the air as the Jagadguru performed Abhisheka to Lord Narasimha, the Avatara signifying the omnipresence of the Lord. Sri Sannidhanam witnessed the Mahamangalarati and was present as Sri Mahasannidhanam performed the Parayana of Srimad Bhagavatam depicting the Avatara of Lord Narasimha.

In the evening, the Jagadgurus went to Narasimhapura Agrahara in Sringeri and had Darshan at the Lord Lakshmi Narasimha temple. Mahamangalarati and Ashtavadhana Seva took place in the presence of the Jagadgurus.

 Abhisheka to Goddess Sri Sharadamba

On 5th May 2015, Vaishakha Krishna Pratipat, Abhishekha to Goddess Sharadamba was performed in the morning. The Jagadgurus had Darshan of the Goddess during the Mahamangalarati at noon.
