Maharudra Yaga and Yajus Samhita Yaga at Vidyaranyapura

Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahasannidhanam and Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam graced the Poornahutis of the Maharudra Yaga and Krishna Yajur Veda Samhita Yaga at Vidyaranyapura Agrahara on 27th and 29th November 2015 respectively. The Yajus Samhita Yaga was conducted in the premises of the temple of Jagadguru Sri Vidyaranya Mahaswamiji (the 12th Acharya of the Peetham) in the Agrahara. The Yagas were organized by Brahma Sri Tangirala Dakshinamurthy (blessed to be the younger brother of Sri Mahasannidhanam in His Poorvashrama) and his family. Chaturveda Parayana also took place. These events were organized as part of the Shashtyabdapoorti function of Sri Dakshinamurthy. In His Anugraha Bhashanam, Sri Mahasannidhanam expressed happiness that in recent times, all the three Samhita Yagas had been conducted in the ancient agrahara of Vidyaranyapura, that had come into existence in memory of Jagadguru Sri Vidyaranya and had been inhabited by Vaidikas of repute. While the Rig Samhita Yaga and Sama Samhita Yaga had been conducted on other occasions in the previous years in the Agrahara, it was fitting that the Yajus Samhita Yaga had also been performed. Sri Mahasannidhanam ended His Anugraha Bhashanam blessing Sri Dakshinamurthy and his family, the Vedic pandits who had conducted the Yagas and Parayana and the devotees assembled for the Poornahuti.
