Sri Shankara Jayanti Mahotsava 2016
Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahasannidhanam and Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam will celebrate the Shankara Jayanti of the current Durmukha Nama Samvatsara at the Sri Adi Shankaracharya Sannidhi in Sringeri from May 7, 2016.
Vedic scholars will congregate at Sringeri and perform Veda Parayana for the extant shakhas four Veda during Celebrations. Special pujas will be performed at the shrine of Jagadguru Sri Adi Shankaracharya in the mornings, followed by pravachanas in the august presence of the Jagadgurus in the evenings. On Shankara Jayanti day – Vaishakha Shuddha Panchami corresponding to May 11, 2016, the Jagadguru will perform special puja to Jagadguru Sri Adi Shankaracharya in the morning.
Rathotsava of Jagadguru Sri Adi Shankaracharya will be conducted on the sixth day viz. Vaishakha Shuddha Shashthi corresponding to May 12, 2016, in the presence of the Acharyas.

Veda Poshaka Sabha Examinations
As part of the Shankara Jayanti Celebrations at Sringeri this year, the Annual Vedaposhaka Sabha Examinations will be held from May 7, 2016 to May 11, 2016.
