A week long Vijaya Yatra of Sri Sannidhanam


 

Nagara

On April 25th, Sri Sannidhanam graced the town named Nagara in Shimoga district. Sri Sannidhanam was received with Poornakumbha Swagata by devotees headed by the elderly scholar Sri Vinayaka Udupa, Asthana Vidwan of Sringeri Sharada Peetham and recipient of the Indian President’s Certificate of Honour in Sanskrit . The Jagadguru was welcomed in a procession to the premises of the newly renovated Nilakantheshwara temple.

It may be remembered here that when gracing the town in January 2014, Sri Mahasannidhanam had directed devotees that the centuries old temple be renovated and that devotees had taken steps towards this direction following which the Ubhaya Jagadgurus had once graced the town and performed the Shilanyasa for the renovation in December 2015.

Upon arriving in the temple premises on April 25, 2019, Sri Sannidhanam inaugurated the newly constructed Sabha Bhavana in the temple premises. The Jagadguru then blessed the gathering with an Anugraha Bhashanam.

On April 26th morning, Sri Sannidhanam performed the Punah Prathishtha Kumbhabhisheka of Lord Nilakantheshwara. Later, the Jagadguru gave Darshan and blessed the assembled devotees with Phala-Mantrakshata. In the afternoon, Sri Sannidhanam started towards the town of Sagara. Enroute to Sagara, Sri Sannidhanam graced the Vidyabharati Educational trust in the Hosanagara region.

Sagara

On the evening of April 26th, Sri Sannidhanam arrived at the town of Sagara. The assembled devotees welcomed the Jagadguru to the local Sringeri Shankara Math in a grand procession. After having Darshan at the shrines of Sri Sharadamba, Adi Shankaracharya and Ganapati, the Jagadguru proceeded towards the organised Sabha where the Math’s Branch Manager Sri Ashwin Kumar performed the Dhuli Padapuja. Later, Sri Sannidhanam blessed the gathering with an Anugraha Bhashanam.

On April 27th, Sri Sannidhanam performed special Puja in the morning to Lord Ganapati, Sharadamba and Shankaracharya and then performed Kumbhabhisheka to the newly constructed Gopuram atop the sanctum of the temple. Later, the Jagadguru blessed the assembled devotees with Phala Mantrakshata. Shimoga MLA Sri BY Raghavendra had Darshan and obtained the blessings of the Jagadguru.

In the evening, Sri Sannidhanam visited the Keladi Rameshwara temple and had Darshan of the deity. Later, the Jagadguru also graced the Keladi museum. Sri Sannidhanam upon returning to Sagara graced the Talamaddale presentation of Sri Adi Shankaracharya’s life at the Sringeri Shankar Math.

On April 28, Sri Sannidhanam graced the Charodi Samaja’s Sharadamba temple in the morning, performed a special Puja to the Goddess and performed the Kumbhabhisheka atop the new Rajagopuram. Later, the Jagadguru blessed the gathering with an Anugraha Bhashanam.

That afternoon, enroute to Banavasi, Sri Sannidhanam visited the Gudigaar Samaja’s Srirama temple. Sri Sannidhanam blessed the members of the Samaja, who are skilled in temple architecture and sculpting, and had carved the main door leading to the Garbhagriha of the Adi Shankaracharya temple at Sringeri.

Banavasi

On April 28th, Sri Sannidhanam arrived at the famous Banavasi Kshetram. Sri Sannidhanam was welcomed in a procession to Madhukeshwara temple where the Jagadguru had Darshan after the temple authorities received Him with Poornakumbha Swagata. Later, Sri Sannidhanam blessed the gathering with an Anugraha Bhashanam in the Sabha organised by the temple authorities.

On April 29, Sri Sannidhanam performed a special Puja to Lord Madhukeshwara in the morning. Later, the Jagadguru performed Puja to Lord Narasimha located in the Prakara, behind the main sanctum. Puja was also offered to Lord Ardha Ganapati and Goddess Parvati in the same premises.

Sri Sannidhanam also inaugurated a newly built Ratha in the same premises. Later, the Jagadguru blessed all the assembled devotees with Phala-Mantraksha.

In the evening, enroute to Yellapur, Sri Sannidhanam graced the Swarnavalli Math. Sri Gangadharendra Saraswati Swamiji received Sri Sannidhanam in the Math premises. In the Sabha organised on the occasion, the Swamiji speaking on the occasion, welcomed Sri Sannidhanam and spoke about the Swarnavalli Math. Sri Sannidhanam then blessed the gathering with an Anugraha Bhashanam highlighting the greatness of Sri Adi Shankara Bhagavatapada. Sri Sannidhanam recounted that His Paramaguru and His Guru had graced the Swarnavalli Math in January 1975, and

Yellapur

On April 29, Jagadguru Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhnam graced the Sharadamba temple located near the Nayakanakere area of the Yellapur town. The Mathadhipati of the Swarnavalli Matha, Sri Gangadharendra Saraswati Swamiji was also present in the Sabha organised to welcome the Sringeri Jagadguru. After the Dhuli Padapuja and Swagata Patra Samarpanam, the Jagadguru blessed the gathering with an Anugraha Bhashanam.

On the next day, Sri Sannidhanam had Darshan at the Durga Parameshwari temple located near Yellapura and blessed the assembled devotees. Back at Yellapur, Sri Sannidhanam graced the Poornahuti of the Rudra Homa performed on the occasion. Later Sri Sannidhanam blessed the assembled devotees with Phala-Mantrakshata. Enroute to Nelamavu, the Jagadguru had Darshan at the famous Marikamba temple at Sirsi and at the Bhavani Shankar temple at Hegge.

Nelemavu

On April 30, Jagadguru Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam arrived at Nelemavu in the evening. Sri Sannidhanam had Darshan at the Narasimha Swamy temple, the Aradhya Devata of the Nelemavu Math. Later, the Jagadguru blessed the gathering with an Anugraha Bhashanam.
On May 1, Poornahuti of the Rudra Homa performed on the occasion took place in the divine presence of Sri Sannidhanam. Later, the Jagadguru consecrated a Shiva Linga in the Math premises and performed a special Puja. Sri Sannidhanam then inaugurated a new building named “Shankara Kripa”. The Jagadguru then graced Herur, had Darshan at the Siddhi Vinayak temple and blessed the assembled devotees. Sri Sannidhanam then returned to the Nelemavu Math, blessed the devotees in the Math with Phala-Mantrakshata.

Hosagunda

On May 1, Jagadguru Sri Vidhushekha Bharati Sannidhanam arrived at Hosagunda in the evening. The Jagadguru was taken in a procession to the Sabha and was received with Poornakumbha Swagata. After Dhuli padapuja was performed by Sri Sri C Narayana Shastry, Sri Sannidhanam blessed the gathering with an Anugraha Bhashanam.

On May 2, Jagadguru Sri Sannidhanam performed performed the Punah Pratishtha Kumbhabhisheka of the renovated temple of Sri Umamaheshwara. Sri Sannidhanam then went atop the Sanctum and performed the Shikharabhisheka. Sri Sannidhanam also offered Puja at all the Parivara Devatas in the temple premises. In the Sabha organised after the Kumbhabisheka, the trustees of the UmaMaheshwara Seva Trust led by Sri C Narayana Shastry offered the entire temple to the Sringeri Jagadguru Mahasamsthanam to ensure that the ancient temple, that was discovered in ruins and has now been renovated, be under its able care. Sri Sannidhanam in His Anugraha Bhashanam expressed happiness at the efforts of the trustees and devotees in renovating the temple and blessed the entire gathering. Sri Sannidhanam returned to Sringeri in the evening.
