With the blessings of the Sringeri Jagadgurus, the second Sharadamba temple in the USA located at Farmington Hills near Detroit, Michigan was consecrated on July 11, 2019. With the first temple consecrated in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, this temple is the second of its kind in the USA constructed by the Sringeri Vidya Bharati Foundation (SVBF), an overseas affiliate of the Sringeri Math. The Kumbhabhisheka ceremonies were presided over by Math CEO, ‘Guru Seva Dhurina’ Dr. VR Gowrishankar and SVBF Chairman, ‘Dharmatma’ Dr. S Yegnasubramanian. Ritwiks from India conducted the ceremonies.

On the morning of the Kumbhabhisheka day, the Anugraha Sandeshas of the Ubhaya Jagadgurus were beamed live from Sringeri. The Prathishtha Kumbhabhisheka of the shrines for Goddess Sharadamba, Mahaganapati, Sri Adi Shankara, Lord Chandramoulishwara, Goddess Bhavani, Sri Subrahmanya, Sri Rama, Sri Krishna, Sri Anjaneya, Shiva Panchayatana and the Navagrahas then took place. A large number of devotees assembled for the Kumbhabhisheka witnessed the live stream of the Anugraha Sandeshas and the Kumbhabhisheka and felt immensely blessed.
