Chaturmasya 2021

Vamana Jayanti

On the occasion of Bhadrapada Shuddha Ekadashi, special pujas were performed to the Lord in His incarnation as Sri Vamana.

After the Sri Chandramouleeshwara and Sri Chakra Puja performed by Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji at night, Jagadguru Sri Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Mahaswamiji performed special Puja to lord Vamana.

The whole of Narasimhavanam resonated with the sound of sacred Vedic Mantras chanted by the Pandits of the Math. The Jagadguru offered Phala-panchamruta abhisheka, Nama-Archana and other upacharas prescribed in the Kalpa.

Late in the night, the Puja concluded with the Maha-Mangalaratrika followed by Parayana of the chapter(s) in the Srimad Bhagavata Maha Puranam extolling the Avatara of the Lord as Sri Vamana.

The following day, on September 18 2021, the Jagadguru performed Uttara Puja in the morning.
