Mahabhisheka to Goddess Sri Sharadamba

Mahabhisheka was performed to Goddess Sri Sharadamba at the temple in Sringeri today, on the occasion of Mahalaya Amavasya day in the presence of Jagadguru Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam, amidst chants of Saraswati Sukta, Devi Sukta, and Ratri Sukta from the Rig Veda and Saraswati Sukta, Medha Sukta, Sri Sukta and Durga Sukta from the Yajur Veda.

After the Mahabhisheka, Goddess Sharadamba gave Darshan as Jagat Prasutika signifying her role as the Divine Mother of the Universe. Maha-Mangala-Aratrika was performed at around 11:00 AM in the presence of the Ubhaya Jagadgurus Sri Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahasannidhanam and Sri Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam.

The Annual Sharada Sharan-Navaratri celebration will commence tomorrow, October 7, 2021.
