Kartika Laksha Deepotsava


Jagadguru Sri Sannidhanam lights the lamp to mark the commencement of the Laksha Deepotsava on Kartika Poornima

On November 19, Kartika Poornima, Laksha Bilvarchana was performed to Lord Malahanikareshwara at Pradosha Kaala. Mahamangalarati was performed at 8:30 pm in the divine presence of Jagadguru Sri Sannidhanam. Then Krittikotsava and Jwala Torana were performed. Laksha Deepotsava was also held with Sri Sannidhanam commencing the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp in front of the Malahanikareshwara temple.

The Utsava Murtis of Goddess Bhavani and Malahanikareshwara were carried in a procession led by Sri Sannidhanam. Golden Rathotsava of Goddess Sharadamba took place inside the Sharadamba temple. After Ashtavadhana seva & Mahamangalarati, the Utsava Murti of Goddess Sharadamba along with those of Sri Bhavani, Sri Malahanikareshwara, Sri Adi Shankaracharya and Sri Vidyashankara were placed in the boat. Jagadguru Sri Sannidhanam also crossed the river in the same boat and arrived at the southern bank. Mahamangalarati was then performed and Teppotsava of all the Utsava Murtis along with Tungabhadra Arati took place in the divine presence of Sri Sannidhanam.

In the subsequent days, Sri Sannidhanam graced the deepotsavas that took place in the temples of Goddess Durgamba, Goddess Kalikamba, Sri Anjaneya Swamy and Sri Harihareshwara.
