Sri Subrahmanya Shashthi celebrations at Sringeri 2022


 

Maha Mangalarati at Gurunivas performed by Jagadguru Sri Mahasannidhanam.

On November 29, 2022, marking Subrahmanya Shashthi, a special puja was performed by Jagadguru Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam at the shrine of Sri Balasubrahmanya Swami at noon. Jagadguru Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam performed Phala-Panchamruta Abhisheka to Sri Balasubrahmanya Swami followed by Tirtha Abhisheka to the chanting of Sri Rudra, Chamaka, Narayana Sukta, Kumara Sukta and other Veda Mantras.

Earlier in Gurunivas special Puja was performed to Sri Subrahmanya Swami in the morning.

Later in the evening, deepotsava was celebrated in the divine presence of Jagadguru Sri Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam. Maha Mangalarati and Ashtavadhana Seva were offered to Sri Balasubrahmanya Swami in the presence of the Jagadguru. This was then followed by chanting of Sri Subrahmanya Bhujangam by by the Pandits & Vidyarthis of the Sadvidya Sanjeevini Samskrita Mahapathashala and the devotees who had gathered at the temple.

After deepotsava at the temple of Sri Balasubrahmanya Swami, deepotsava was also celebrated at Sri Naga-devata shrine located at the base of Ashwattha tree in Narasimhavanam.

Earlier in the evening, the Jagadguru also had Darshan at the temple of Sri Subrahmanya Swami in Sacchidanandapura where deepotsava was celebrated.

At Gurunivas during the nightly Chandramoulishwara Puja, Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahasannidhanam performed special Mangalarati to Sri Subrahmanya Swami.
