Ardrotsava

Ardrotsava was celebrated in the early hours of January 06, 2023. Jagadguru Sri Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam graced the temple of Sri Malahanikareshwara Swami at 5:30 AM. After witnessing the Mahamangalarati at the shrines of Sri Stambha Ganapati, Sri Malahanikareshwara Swami and Sri Bhavani Amba, Sri Sannidhanam led a grand procession of the Vigrahas of Sri Malahanikareshwara (as Sri Nataraja) and Sri Bhavani along with Veda Ghosha and Vadya.

The procession then arrived at Municipality building (Jagadguru Sri Chandrashekhara Bharati Sabha Bhavana) where Puja was performed to the Utsava Murtis in the presence of the Jagadguru. Mahamangalarati and Ashtavadhana Seva was then conducted. Sri Sannidhanam blessed Sringeri MLA Sri Raje Gowda and the municipality officials. The Utsava ended at around 7:30 AM and the Vigrahas were brought back to the hill-temple to the resonating chants of Sri Shivananda Lahari and Sri Soundarya Lahari.

The day also being Pushya Poornima, Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahasannidhanam and Sri Sannidhanam had Darshan at the temples of Sri Sharadamba and Sri Malahanikareshwara.

The earlier evening, Andhakasura Vadha, marking the vanquishing of the demon “Andhaka” by the Lord, was celebrated in the divine presence of Jagadguru Sri Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam in the precincts of the Sri Math near the Raja Gopuram.
