Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji performes Maha Mangala Aratrika during the Uma Maheshwara Vrata Puja

On the auspicious occasion of Ananta Padmanabha Vrata, observed on Bhadrapada Shukla Chaturdashi, Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahasannidhanam performed special puja to Lord Sri Ananta Padmanabha Swami at Gurunivas, upholding the revered traditions of the Sri Math early in the morning.

The puja commenced with the sonorous chanting of Vedic hymns as the Jagadguru performed the Phala Panchamruta Abhisheka and other prescribed rituals (Upacharas) according to the Kalpa, followed by Nama-Archana. The ceremony concluded with the Maha Mangalaratrika later in the morning.

This year, both Uma Maheshwara Vrata and Ananta Padmanabha Vrata coincided on the same day. After completing the Ananta Padmanabha Vrata, the Jagadguru observed the Uma Maheshwara Vrata and performed a special puja later in the morning.

The Jagadguru, conducted the Shodashopachara Puja for Lord Uma Maheshwara, filling the sacred space with the sonorous recitation of Vedic chants. This vrata also marked the conclusion of the two-month-long Chaturmasya Vrata observed by the Ubhaya Jagadgurus.
