NICU Inaugurated at Sri Abhinava Vidyatirtha Multispecialty Hospital, Sringeri
A milestone in healthcare services at Sringeri was achieved earlier today with the inauguration of a state-of-the-art Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the Sri Abhinava Vidyatirtha Multispecialty Hospital. The NICU was inaugurated with the blessings of the Ubhaya Jagadgurus by the Administrator & CEO of Sringeri Math, Guru Seva Nirata Sri P. A. Murali ji.
The NICU is equipped with advanced neonatal care facilities to provide critical support for newborns requiring specialized medical attention. Among the key equipment installed are:
• Four radiant warmers for immediate and effective thermal regulation of infants
• Non-invasive ventilators for gentle respiratory support
• Mechanical ventilators for intensive respiratory management
• High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) systems
• Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) devices
• Nasal CPAP (NCPAP) systems
The unit is supported by a team of three experienced pediatricians and trained nursing staff, ensuring round-the-clock care for premature and critically ill neonates.
The many advanced facilities at SAVMH, Sringeri, are bringing quality healthcare closer to the people of this hilly region, where families previously had to travel nearly 100 km along ghat roads for such care.
