Bhadrapada Shuddha Dwadashi marks the appearence of the Lord as Vamana .This day is also called Vamana Jayanti. As per ancient traditions of the Peetham,the Jadadguru performed special puja on the previous night (September 15).

After Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji performed the Chandramoulishwara Puja at night, Jagadguru Sri Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Mahaswamiji performed special Puja to Lord Vamana.

The whole of Narasimhavanam resonated with the sound of sacred Vedic Mantras chanted by the Pandits of the Math. The Jagadguru offered Phala-panchamruta abhisheka, Nama-Archana and other upacharas prescribed in the Kalpa.

The puja concluded with the Maha-Mangalaratrika. This was followed by Parayana of the chapter(s) in the Srimad Bhagavata Maha Puranam extolling the Avatara of the Lord as Sri Vamana.

The following day, on September 16 2024, the Jagadguru performed Uttara Puja in the morning.
