The Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahasannidhanam, along with His Uttaradhikari Shishya, Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam, performed Vyasa Puja heralding the beginning of Chaturmasya Vrata, today, on the holy day of Vyasa Purnima also famed as Guru-Purnima, at Narasimha-Vanam, Sringeri amidst sonorous chanting of Vedic Mantras by the scholars of the Sri-Math aswell as students of the Sadvidya Sanjeevini Samskrita Mahapathashala. Following the Vyasa Puja, the Jagadgurus performed the Chaturmasya Vrata Sankalpa and will observe the Chaturmasya Vrata at Sringeri till September 16. Parayana on Guru Poornima July 15, 2016

With the blessings and guidance of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahasannidhanam and Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam, a program has been conceived to conduct Parayana on the occasion of the very auspicious Guru Poornima to obtain the compassionate grace of the Acharyas. A small compendium published by the Peetham, contains shlokas for Parayana, and the Ashtottara Shatanamavalis. The compendium is titled Guru-Saparyaa, meaning worship of the Guru and is available online.

The Parayana event will take place in Sringeri on Guru Poornima at 6:30 PM at Pravachana Mandiram. The Parayana event is also being organized by devotee groups in their respective areas. Every follower of Sanatana Dharma may wholeheartedly perform this Parayana on the sacred day of Guru Poornima and obtain the blessings of the Guru.

Vyasa Pooja & Chaturmasya Vrata 2016 July 15, 2016

The 36th Peethadhipati of Dakshinamnaya Sri Sharada Peetham, Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji will be observing the Chaturmasya Vrata of the Durmukha Samvatsara along with His Uttaradhikari Shishya in Sringeri. The Jagadguru will commence His 42nd Chaturmasya Vrata with Vyasa Puja and Sankalpa on Tuesday, the 19th of July 2016 and end it on Friday, the 16th of September 2016. Maharudra Yaga conducted Sringeri July 1, 2016

On June 30 and July 1, 2016, a Maharudra Yaga was conducted in Sringeri by Alumni of Sri Sadvidya Sanjeevini Samskrita Mahapathashala and Purohitas for the welfare of humanity. The Ubhaya Jagadgurus graced the Poornahuti on July 1 2016.

Chandi Homa at Malahanikareshwara temple Sringeri June 28, 2016

On June 28, 2016, the Ubhaya Jagadgurus then had Darshan of Lord Stambha Ganapati, Lord Malahanikareshwara and Goddess Bhavani. The day also marked the Prathishta day of Goddess Bhavani and the Jagadgurus graced the Poornahuti of a Navachandi Yaga held in the temple premises on the occasion.

Karnataka Chief Justice visits Sringeri Sringeri June 19, 2016

Hon’ble Chief Justice of Karnataka, Sri Subhro Kamal Mukherjee arrived at Sringeri on June 19, 2016 and had Darshan of the Ubhaya Jagadgurus in Guru Nivas and received blessings. He then had Darshan in the Goddess Sharadamba temple.
