Invitation to Sanskrit Teachers’ Meet at Bengaluru on June 19 2016 June 16, 2016

With the Blessings of the Ubhaya Jagadgurus, the Sura Saraswati Sabha of the Peetham is organising a Sanskrit Teachers’ Meet at the Sringeri Shankara Math premises in Bengaluru on June 19 2016. All Sanskrit teachers are invited to attend the meet.

The 137th Aradhana of the 32nd Acharya of Sringeri Sharada Peetham, Jagadguru Sri Narasimha Bharati Mahaswamiji was observed with devotion at Sringeri on 6th June 2016. Jagadguru Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji offered special worship at the Adhisthanam of His Parapara Guru, accompanied by the sonorous chanting of Vedic hymns by the Math Panditas. Jagadguru Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam was present during the Mahamangalarati.

Puja to Kere Anjaneya May 31, 2016

On May 31 2016, on the occasion of Hanumat Jayanti , Jagadguru Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam performed a special Puja to Lord Kere Anjaneya, the guardian deity consecrated by Sri Adi Shankaracharya in the west of Sringeri. Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahasannidhanam, after granting Darshan to devotees at Guru Nivas, arrived at the temple and was present during the Mahamangalarati to Lord Kere Anjaneya. The Jagadgurus then blessed the members of the Bhajana Samaj.

Valedictory function of Adi Shankaracharya Ashtottara Yajna Sringeri May 29, 2016

On May 29 2016, the Valedictory function of the Adi Shankaracharya Ashtottara Shatanama Parayana Yajna took place in Sringeri in the divine presence of the Ubhaya Jagadgurus. About 3500 people from all over Karnataka arrived at Sringeri to participate in the event. In the morning, a huge procession took place along the main Bharati Street of Sringeri commencing from the Sharadamba temple. Participants chanted the Ashtottara of Sri Adi Shankaracharya and the Utsava Murti of Sri Adi Shankaracharya was pulled all the way from the Rajagopuram to the Circle at the end of the street, where a beautiful marble statue of Sri Adi Shankaracharya is installed. Chantings of the Upanishad Mantras and Bhajans rented the air as the procession made its way back to the temple of Sri Adi Shankaracharya. Thereafter, devotees had Darshan of the Jagadgurus at Guru Nivas and received blessings.

On May 27 2016, Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahasannidhanam and Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Sannidhanam graced the Poornahuti of Chandi Homa performed at the Durgamba temple in Sringeri and blessed the devotees.

Telangana Endowments Minister visits Sringeri May 26, 2016

The Honourable Minister of Law, Housing and Endowments of Telangana State, Sri Allola Indrakaran Reddy visited Sringeri on May 26, 2016 and had Darshan of Goddess Sharadamba. He then visited Narasimha Vanam and had Darshan of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahasannidhanam and Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam. The Minister placed information related to the development of temples in the Telangana State and sought the guidance of Sri Mahasannidhanam. He then received the blessings of the Ubhaya Jagadgurus.

Narasimha Jayanti & Abhisheka to Goddess Sharadamba May 22, 2016

On May 20 2016, Narasimha Jayanti was celebrated at Sringeri. At noon, Sri Mahasannidhanam offered a special Puja at Guru Nivas to the golden Vigraha of Lord Lakshmi Narasimha. Vedic Chants comprising the Purusha Sukta, the Narayana Sukta and Vishnu Sukta filled the air as the Jagadguru performed Abhisheka to Lord Narasimha, the Avatara signifying the omnipresence of the Lord. Sri Sannidhanam witnessed the Mahamangalarati and was present as Sri Mahasannidhanam performed the Parayana of Srimad Bhagavatam depicting the Avatara of Lord Narasimha.
