Gayatri Homa at Vidyaranyapura March 17, 2016

On March 17, 2016, Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam arrived at Vidyaranyapura Agrahara, had Darshan at the Sri Rama temple, and graced the Poornahuti of the Gayatri Homa performed in the temple premises by the elderly Purohit, Sri Prabhakara Bhat of Sringeri. In His Anugraha Bhashanam, Sri Sannidhanam spoke about the efficacy of the Gayatri Mantra. He also commended Sri Prabhakara Bhat for engaging in such acts of Dharma and being an ideal for many youngsters.

Durgamba Rathotsava March 16, 2016

The annual Durgamba Rathotsava took place at Sringeri on March 16, 2016 at the temple of Goddess Vanadurga. Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahasannidhanam and Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam led the Rathotsava. Earlier Sri Mahasannidhanam arrived at the temple of Goddess Durgamba at around 11AM. After completing His afternoon Anushthanam, the Jagadguru began the Puja by around 12PM.

Asthana Vidwan conferred President’s Certificate of Honour in Sanskrit March 11, 2016

Vidwan Sri G Mahabaleshwara Bhat, Aasthaana Vidwan of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Mahasamsthanam, Dakshinaamnaaya Sri Sharada Peetham at Sringeri was awarded the President’s Certificate of Honour towards contribution to the Sanskrit language. Hon. President of India, Sri Pranab Mukherjee conferred the Honour on the scholar in a special function organised at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on March 11 2016.

Jagadguru performs special puja on the occassion of Ratha Saptami Elmagge February 14, 2016

Ratha Saptami was observed on February 14, 2016. A special Puja to Lord Suryanarayana swamy seated on a sandalwood chariot was performed in the morning at Sri Narasimha Bharati Yagashala in the presence of the Ubhaya Jagadgurus. Earlier, a Surya Homa was also performed.

Lalita Panchami was celebrated on 13th February 2016. Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam offered special worship to Goddess Sharadamba on the occasion. Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahasannidhanam also arrived at the temple and had Darshan as Sri Sannidhanam was offering the Puja. Sri Sannidhanam performed the Mahamangalarati at around 2 pm.
