On 24-08-2014 Sunday morning the Administrator and CEO Dr. V.R. Gowrishankar came to the Gurunivas with his family and performed Padapuja in the divine presence of the Jagadguru Mahaswamiji and obtained the blessings of the Jagadguru for the successful conduct of the weeklong celebrations of his Shashtyabda Poorti.

Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji observed Varamahalakshmi vrata and worshipped Goddess Varamahalakshmi with a detailed puja in the evening of 8th August 2014.

A workshop on spoken Samskritam was conducted at Sri Sadvidya Sanjeevini Samkrita Mahapathashala. More than 80 students from the Pathashala had participated in the workshop.

On 8th July 2014, Prathama Ekadashi was observed at the Peetham. The Jagadguru observed Kasthta Mounam on this day. The Pathashala Senior Vidyarthis and Adhyapakas performed Parayanam of the entire Rig Veda and Yajur Veda. Ganapati Atharva Sirsha Parayana and Abhisheka to Thorana Ganapati and Shakti Ganapati also took place. A special Tulasi Archana and Aarati took place at Janardana Swamy temple in the afternoon.

On 7th July 2014 Monday, the Jagadguru graced the Ganapati Devasthanam at a place called Kattebagilu in Bharati Street in Sringeri and had Darshan of the Aarati to Lord Ganapati on the occasion of the renovation and PunaH Pratishtha of the temple.

It is a well known fact for the followers of Sanatana Dharma, that whoever memorises and recites the 18 chapters of Srimad Bhagavad Gita, and passes the examination conducted at Dakshinamnaya Sri Sharada Peetham is awarded a cash price of Rs. 21,000 /- Hundreds of Astikas from all parts of the world and coming from diverse backgrounds, have been regularly participating in this Gita Jnana Yajna.

After the Mahakumbhabhisheka of the magnificent Rajagopuram at Sringeri, many Ministers came to Sringeri to offer prayers to Goddess Sharadamba and to have Darshan of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji.

Launched with the blessings of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji, the Shaankara Tattva Prasaara Abhiyaanam conducted Shibiras(Workshops) in Bangalore and Siddapura in March and June 2014.

In the last weekend of July 2014 (26 and 27 July), a two day awareness workshop on the importance of studying the history and culture of India was organized by the Shankara Advaita Research Centre of Dakshinamnaya Sringeri Sri Sharada Peetham for the undergraduate students of Jagadguru Chandrashekhara Bharati Memorial college, Rajiv Gandhi Kendriya Samskrita Vidyapeetham, and the Sringeri Pathashala.

On 25th July 2014 BJP leader Sri Subramanian Swamy had Darshan of Sri Sharadamba and Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji.
