Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji undertook a short Vijaya Yatra in Karnataka and Goa in November-December 2014. The Jagadguru undertook the 12 day journey to spread Sanatana Vaidika Dharma among the masses. The highlights of the Yatra include Kumbhabhishekas of newly constructed temples, foundation stone laying ceremonies, special Pujas and benedictory discourses.

The Jagadguru Mahaswamiji started from Sringeri on 26th November 2014 and reached Sri Kundeshwara Swami Temple at Kundapura. The Jagadguru was welcomed reverentially with a Poornakumbha, Nadaswara, Chanda Vadya and singing of Bhajans. After having the Darshan of Sri Kundeshwara swami, the Jagadguru graced the Guruvandandana Sabha organised by the devotees of Kundapura to commemorate the Silver jubilee of Peetharohanam of the Jagadguru. The Shakti Ganapati Mahapradosha was celebrated this year by the Vidyarthis and Pandits of “Sri Sadvidya Sanjeevini Samskrita Mahapathashala of Sri Sringeri Sharada Peetham” on 19th November 2014 at the shrine of Sri Shakti Ganapati inside the Goddess Sharadamba temple.

Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji performed a special Somavara Puja on the four Somavaras of the Kartika Maasa (October-Nov 2014) of the Jaya Samvatsara.

Kartika Deepotsava, celebrated as Laksha Deepotsava took place on the Poornima of Kartika month on 6th November 2014. Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji arrived at Lord Malahanikareshwara Temple by around 9:30PM and had the Darshan of the Arati performed to Lord Stambha Ganapati, Lord Malahanikareshwara and Bhavani Amba.

On 4th November 2014, Ksheerabdhi Dwadashi was celebrated with a special Puja to Lord Lakshminarasimha in Narasimhapura Agrahara in Sringeri. Dhatri3 Homa and Tulasi Kalyanam were also performed at the temple.

The Aradhana of the 10th Acharya of the Peetham, Jagadguru Sri Vidyatirtha was observed reverentially on 30th October 2014. Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji performed the Aradhana Pooja at noon in the sanctum sanctorum of the magnificent Lord Sri Vidyashankara temple built over the Samadhi location of the Jagadguru.
