Ubhaya Jagadurus observe Chaturmasya Vrata at Sringeri Sringeri July 20, 2016

The Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahasannidhanam, along with His Uttaradhikari Shishya, Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam, performed Vyasa Puja heralding the beginning of Chaturmasya Vrata, today, on the holy day of Vyasa Purnima also famed as Guru-Purnima, at Narasimha-Vanam, Sringeri amidst sonorous chanting of Vedic Mantras by the scholars of the Sri-Math aswell as students of the Sadvidya Sanjeevini Samskrita Mahapathashala. Following the Vyasa Puja, the Jagadgurus performed the Chaturmasya Vrata Sankalpa and will observe the Chaturmasya Vrata at Sringeri till September 16. Maharudra Yaga conducted Sringeri July 1, 2016

On June 30 and July 1, 2016, a Maharudra Yaga was conducted in Sringeri by Alumni of Sri Sadvidya Sanjeevini Samskrita Mahapathashala and Purohitas for the welfare of humanity. The Ubhaya Jagadgurus graced the Poornahuti on July 1 2016.

On June 28, 2016, the Ubhaya Jagadgurus then had Darshan of Lord Stambha Ganapati, Lord Malahanikareshwara and Goddess Bhavani. The day also marked the Prathishta day of Goddess Bhavani and the Jagadgurus graced the Poornahuti of a Navachandi Yaga held in the temple premises on the occasion.

The 137th Aradhana of the 32nd Acharya of Sringeri Sharada Peetham, Jagadguru Sri Narasimha Bharati Mahaswamiji was observed with devotion at Sringeri on 6th June 2016. Jagadguru Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji offered special worship at the Adhisthanam of His Parapara Guru, accompanied by the sonorous chanting of Vedic hymns by the Math Panditas. Valedictory function of Adi Shankaracharya Ashtottara Yajna Sringeri May 29, 2016

On May 29 2016, the Valedictory function of the Adi Shankaracharya Ashtottara Shatanama Parayana Yajna took place in Sringeri in the divine presence of the Ubhaya Jagadgurus. About 3500 people from all over Karnataka arrived at Sringeri to participate in the event. In the morning, a huge procession took place along the main Bharati Street of Sringeri commencing from the Sharadamba temple. Participants chanted the Ashtottara of Sri Adi Shankaracharya and the Utsava Murti of Sri Adi Shankaracharya was pulled all the way from the Rajagopuram to the Circle at the end of the street, where a beautiful marble statue of Sri Adi Shankaracharya is installed. Chantings of the Upanishad Mantras and Bhajans rented the air as the procession made its way back to the temple of Sri Adi Shankaracharya. Thereafter, devotees had Darshan of the Jagadgurus at Guru Nivas and received blessings.
