Sri Shankaracharya Ashtottara Shatanaama Paarayana Yajna 2017 in Karnataka


With the blessings of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahasannidhanam, and Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam, Sri Adi Shankaracharya Ashtottara Shatanama Parayana Yajna commenced throughout Karnataka on 15th January 2017.

The Yajna, being conducted by Sri Shaankara Tattva Prasaara Abhiyaanam of the Peetham, was inaugurated by Sri Sannidhanam in a  public function on the morning of January 15 at Sringeri. About 500 devotees from various places in Sringeri Taluk chanted the Ashtottara in the divine presence of Sri Sannidhanam. Sri Sannidhanam delivered an Anugraha Bhashanam on the occasion and blessed the devotees.

As part of the Yajna, tens of thousands of devotees are to chant the Ashtottara Shatanama of Sri Adi Shankaracharya in groups spread across hundreds of centres in the various districts of Karnataka.
