With the Benign Blessings of Jagadguru Shankaracharya of Dakshinamnaya Sringeri Sharada Peetham, Summer Samskrtia Camp for children commenced on 7th May 2011 during the Mahotsavam of Sri Sankara Jayanti.

Sri Shankara TV will telecast a programme titled “Inspiring Saint on coming Sunday , the 5th of June 2011 at 9 p.m. containing a report on the Shashtyabdaoorti Mahotsavam of the Jagadguru Shankaracharya held at Chennai. Sri Vidyatheertha Foundation, Chennai organised a Mahotsavam to mark the Sashtyabthapoorthi of Jagadguru Sri Bharathi Theertha Mahaswamigal, from the 23rd to 27th of last month.

Samskruta Summer Camp was inaugurated on 7th May 2011 during Sankara Jayanthi Mahotsavam by Dharmapracharakar, Sri A.S. Gopalakrishnan at Sringeri Shankara math at Mumbai.

Dharma upanayana will be performed at Sri Sringeri Shankara Math ,Bangalore On Vaishaka Bhahula Panchami ie.22.05.2011,sunday for boys who are between 8 and 12 years.Those interested may contact the Sri math office at Bangalore to complete the necessary formalities by submitting the necessary application forms .

With the benign blessings of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji, Mumbai Sringeri Shankara Math is organizing a Samskrita and Sloka summer camp for children in the age group of 7 to 15. Details are given below.

As a part of Sri Shankara Jayanti Mahotsava observed at Sringeri aswell as branch maths throughout the country, the five day long celebrations will also be celebrated with the benign blessings of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji at the the century old Bangalore branch of Sri Sringeri Math at Shankarapuram from 4th May 2011 to 8th May 2011. The details of the programme is as follows.

The 61st Vardhanti celebrations of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji was also celebrated at Dombivili in Mumbai by the devotees of the Peetham there. The event was organized by Sringeri Jagadguru Seva Samithi (Puja Comittee) in the locality.

“Shankaramritam”, a week long festival on the occassion of the 61st Vardhanti of the Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji is being organised by Tattvaloka in Chennai from the 23rd to the 29th of April 2011.
