On the afternoon of 16th November 2011, Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji started towards Shimoga district and reached the Hosahalli Agrahara near Shimoga town.

Kartika Deepotsava, celebrated as Laksha deepotsava took place on the Poornima of Kartika month on 10th November 2011.

Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji will undertake a 1-day camp to Shimoga in Karnataka. The Jagadguru will start from Sringeri on the afternoon of 16th November 2011 and return the following evening. The Sharada Chandramoulishwara Puja on 17th evening will be performed by the Jagadguru as usual in Sringeri.

Bali Padya was celebrated on 27th October, the day after Deepavali. Go Pooja was performed by the Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji in the morning in Narasimha Vanam. Balindra Pooja was performed in the evening at Goddess Sharada temple.

The Jayantis of the 34th Acharya, Jagadguru Sri Chandrashekhara Bharati Mahaswamiji and 35th Acharya, Jagadguru Sri Abhinava Vidyatirtha Mahaswamiji were observed on 23rd and 25th October respectively.

The 5th annual Kirtankar Sammelan was held in Sringeri from October 14th to October 16th 2011. The first four Kirtankar Sammelans have been held in Maharashtra after the Sammelan was begun by the Peetham in the divine presence of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji in 2007 at Ahmednagar, Maharashtra (during the Jagadguru’s Vijaya Yatra in 2007).

The annual Sharan-Navaratri celebrations was celebrated in a grand manner at Sringeri from the 27th of September to the 11th Octonber 2011.
