Karnataka CM Visits September 13, 2011

On September 13th, Karnataka Chief Minister Sri Sadananda Gowda visited Sringeri and had Darshan at temple of Goddess Sharada. He then came to Narasimha Vanam and had Darshan of the Jagadguru.

Mahaganapati Vakyartha Sabha September 13, 2011

Conducted in Sri Sacchidananda Vilas in Narasimha Vanam, the Mahaganapati Vakyartha Sabha proceedings consisted of deliberations in Shastras such as Vedanta, Mimamsa, Nyaya and Vyakarana. About 50 erudite shastric scholars across the country participated in the Sabha and deliberated in Sanskrit for 13 days from Vinayaka Chaturthi day (Sep 1st).

Jagadguru’s 12 day Yatra in Karnataka May 30, 2011

Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji started from Sringeri on a 12-day Dharma Vijaya Yatra in the South Indian state of Karnataka on 18th May 2011. In the course of the Yatra, the Jagadguru graced Kundapura, Honnavara, Karwar, Shirali, Hornadu and other towns before returning to Sringeri on the 30th of May.
